National Fire Prevention Week was Oct. 8-14 this year. The theme of the 2017 campaign is “Every Second Counts.” Claremont Center invited local first responders from the Point Pleasant Boro Fire Department to speak to our residents and staff about fire prevention and safety awareness. The discussion was lead by Lieutenant Mitchell Remig. The brave responders also showed our residents some of the lifesaving equipment and tools found on the fire engine.
Our residents enjoyed the presentation and asked various questions. Some residents proudly announced that they too had been fireman. After the program was completed, Claremont Center gave these brave men and woman a big round of applause for their dedication and commitment to keeping our community safe.
